Meet the New Starter - Lisa Ward

What attracted you to the role at TIP?

I had heard really good things about TIP, for example, that the working environment here was really friendly and that definitely appealed to me. The employee benefits also looked great – and they are!

What excites you most about your new role with TIP?

I worked in the travel industry as a travel agent for over 20 years so I’m really looking forward to learning new skills and working in a completely different industry.

What is your biggest work-related achievement

My biggest work achievement has been building relationships and making friends with my customers / clients. In fact, I got married abroad whilst working as a travel agent and one of my clients at the time actually flew out to my wedding!

What do you like to do in your spare time?

In my spare time I really enjoy going to the theatre – I’m there once a month at least! My favourite show I’ve seen is ‘Beauty and the Beast’. I also enjoy reading and cross-stitching!

What is a fun / interesting fact about yourself?

I do a lot of work for charity! My son is a type 1 diabetic and I do a lot to raise money for JDRF, such as obstacle courses etc.
