Meet the New Starter - Lee Clarke
What attracted you to the role at TIP?
After seeing the position advertised, I did a little research on TIP and saw their excellent employee reviews and it looked to be an excellent company to work for. Since joining, I have found everyone polite, happy and always willing to help, which is really important in any working environment. There also appeared to be room to progress, which drew me to TIP even more.
What is your biggest work-related achievement?
I started out as a warehouse picker in Warrington and I soon progressed to the transport department as an administration clerk. Soon after, I was promoted to a manager and then moved to Iceland’s head office in Deeside. I spent 4 years at Deeside as a front-line manager, running the transport operation for the 120 store deliveries that the depot was responsible for each day.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I’m a keen golfer and play in a society of 16 guys. We play 2-3 times a month but we only play 9 months of the year (fair weather golfers hahah) and we also enjoy a few society drinks from time to time! I’m a big Liverpool FC fan and all round sports fan in general….except for rugby & horse racing.
What is a fun/interesting fact about yourself?
I lived in Spain for 8 years, while I was in my 20’s. A very good time in my life but unfortunately we all have to grow up sometimes! Sun, sea and sand, replaced by rain, wind & hail.
