Meet the Mechanic - Shaun

How did you begin working in the trailer industry?

I started in the industry quite a few years ago. Originally, I started as a HGV parts supplier. I then was offered a job role by a customer at the time and accepted this due to my previous knowledge of car mechanics plus the technical experience I had from my HGV parts role.

What do you like about working for TIP Trailer Services?

The benefits at TIP are great. We have things like private medical insurance and pension which is a fantastic benefit.

What’s your biggest work achievement?

There was a call out I attended where a customer had a truck/trailer breakdown. I went to the job and managed to fix both the truck and trailer which helped the customer by saving them time and money. The customer then contacted TIP to say thank you and I was awarded a Business Hero Award!

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Me and my partner have just had a little boy; he is now 4 months old. I am enjoying spending time with him, although not enjoying the sleepless nights! I also enjoy riding my speedway bike at the weekends when not on call…
