Meet the Mechanic - David
How did you begin working in the trailer industry?
I started off as a car mechanic and during this time I was introduced to trucks. From there, I got an apprenticeship with a company who specialised in trailers and have been in the industry ever since - about 19 years now!
What do you like about working for TIP Trailer Services?
I think the benefits are really good, especially the 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays! The guys I work with and the branch staff are also great, you can go to them for advice whenever you need it.
What’s your biggest work achievement?
Every day I feel proud of my work, especially when I get appreciation from the customer. Each day is different and brings with it new challenges.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to keep fit and go out walking. There are lots of beautiful places in Scotland to go for walks!
