Meet the Mechanic - Ashley
How did you begin working in the trailer industry?
When I finished school, I decided I wanted to do an apprenticeship in the trailer industry as I didn’t fancy working in an office every day; I wanted to be doing different things on a day to day basis ! I completed a 5 year heavy vehicle apprenticeship with Scania and then, following this, moved over to TIP as a Workshop Mechanic.
What do you like about working for TIP Trailer Services?
The benefits package is fantastic and I also enjoy working with the people around me which makes the job easier! I also thought the interview process was really good and professional.
What’s your biggest work achievement?
I am currently in the process of completing my class 1 HGV licence with TIP and I am really looking forward to being qualified.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I have an 18 month old son who I spend most of my spare time with. I also like to play football and go fishing.
Would you like to work in Ashley’s team? We currently have several mechanic and mobile mechanic vacancies based at / from a number of our branches across the UK and Ireland.
