Meet the Mechanic - Oli
How did you begin working in the trailer industry?
I completed a 4 year HGV mechanic apprenticeship at John Lewis and then moved on to be a manager of a HGV breakdown company; I have always stayed in the industry in various roles.
What do you like about working for TIP Trailer Services?
The benefits are brilliant! They are definitely one of the best things about the company. TIP is a good company to work for, the workshop is chilled, and everyone gets on well and has a laugh.
What’s your biggest work achievement?
In my previous role as a manager of a HGV breakdown company I successfully ran and organised a lot of contracts with and for TIP. The Eddie Stobart team was actually one of my customers and this ultimately led me to applying for the role at TIP.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time, myself and a friend work on modifications to cars which I love doing! I also occasionally help a friend move luxury sports cars such as Bentleys and Lamborghinis around the country.
