Freya Rattigan

I'm Freya, the Marketing Intern from Kent studying Marketing at Manchester Metropolitan University. I work alongside Ian, the Marketing Manager, to cover all things social media, communications and much more... I am really enjoying my placement; I have learned so much already!

What attracted you to TIP Group?

The varied responsibilities are what attracted me most to TIP Group. For example, the chance to get to work as part of a committee creating events and the social media, creativity side is what really appealed to me.

Describe your experience at TIP in three words:

Motivating, fun and connected.

What does a typical day for you involve?
A typical day for me involves receiving and answering emails, posting on social media and more! My days do vary quite a bit, I often create content, whether it’s for our LinkedIn and Facebook, or design advertisements to be featured in magazines. There are also weekly tasks I deal with, so I’m always busy!

What have you learned/developed since the start of your internship?
Since starting my internship at TIP, I have already learned so much! I have developed my Adobe Suite skills massively since being here; I hadn’t had much experience with Photoshop, InDesign or Illustrator before, but now I’m finding myself using it more and using all their features.

What is your favourite thing about working for TIP?
My favourite thing about working here is that I’ve always got something to be doing, and getting the chance to work alongside the other interns! :)

What is one thing that makes your day instantly better?
Food.

What is the best place you have ever travelled to? What did you like?
Thailand! Getting to wash the elephants and see pigs on the beach was amazing!

A Greggs sausage roll
