Ben Hamilton
What attracted you to TIP Group?
The job specification perfectly matched my experience and based off the reviews of the company, TIP’s culture was a perfect fit too. I also liked that it meant I could contribute to an exciting, growing industry whilst having a flexible hybrid working environment that suited both me and the company.
Describe your experience at TIP in three words:
Eye-opening, collaborative and rewarding.
What projects have you been working on whilst on your placement?
On daily basis, I resolve tickets (issues raised by users) regarding software or hardware issues they encounter in the day. I also work with two teams, EUC (End User Compute) and ServiceNow Fulfillers. The EUC team handles general IT queries and hardware supply, while the ServiceNow Fulfillers handle all things ServiceNow and make sure the platform is running correctly and that the necessary items are accessible by the users that need them.
Throughout my internship, I have been working on multiple projects. One of my main projects was preparation for and on-site assistance with an acquisition. I had to make sure that the new users all had correct equipment to smoothly transition into their new TIP role.
What have you learnt / developed since the start of your internship?
I have learnt to communicate far more effectively than before through the many projects and tasks that I have worked on alongside colleagues both within TIP and our external contacts. I have gained invaluable experience with both hardware and software thanks to the very technically skilled team here at TIP who I have worked closely with and have parted their wisdom to help make my job more efficient.
