How long have you been in the industry and how did you get into it?

I have been in the world of commercial vehicle leasing for 27 years. After selling my shares in a business, I decided to try something completely different. It was a great decision!

What does a typical day for you involve?

I manage three large Grayrentals client accounts which largely entails ensuring their commercial vehicle requirements are met and that they receive the level of support that Grayrentals and TIP is renowned for providing. Early starts and late finishes are par for the course, as is discussing potential new contracts, agreeing specifications and the usual problem solving duties that form part of everyday life. All of this, along with always keeping an eye out for potential new clients of course!

What are the top 3 most valuable skills you’ve learnt whilst working at Grayrentals?

1. Don’t try to go it alone – it’s a great team here and everyone is prepared to do their part.

2. Take your time, slow down and look at things from as many angles as possible before making a decision. Use the company’s experts to help you too!

3. Immerse yourself in the company ethos and you won’t go far wrong.

What is a fun/interesting fact about yourself?

I have climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge and it was a great experience. I have also swam with a giant turtle on the Great Barrier Reef, much to my wife’s annoyance!
