Meet the TIP Knottingley Team
The TIP Trailers Knottingley Team is managed by Rob Parkinson (Branch Operations & Workshop Manager). Rob has been at TIP since 2003 having begun his TIP career as an Operations Assistant. Outside of work Rob is a big fan of music and used to be a DJ. He is a big Tottenham fan and is partial to a gin or two…
Rob is assisted in the office by Guy Phelan (Assistant Branch Operations Manager) who has held various roles and a connection with TIP for 23 years.
Also supporting the office function is Matthew Thompson (Operations Assistant). Matt has been with the company since 2019. Outside of work, he enjoys watching football and is a fan of Barnsley FC.
In the workshop, there are a number of mechanics:
Darren Lomas (Workshop Supervisor) has been with the company since 2015. In his spare time, Darren is a keen cyclist.
Paul Gilson (Workshop Mechanic) has been with the company since 2018. Paul is our resident strongman.
Craig Maughan (Workshop Mechanic) has been with the company since 2018. He is the go-to person for deck work and trucks.
Niall Tunney (Workshop Mechanic) was formerly an apprentice. Since passing his training, he has become a much-valued member of the team.
Richard Charlesworth (Workshop Mechanic) has been with us since 2019. ‘Charlie’ is good with all things EBS.
Harry Dodd (Workshop Apprentice) is the newest addition to our team who has just commenced the second year of his apprenticeship. In his spare time, he plays rugby league.
Mark Riley (Mobile Mechanic) has been this the company since 2011 having moved over from working in TIP's tanker division. He is our go-to man for EBS jobs on the road.
Daryl Hall (Mobile Mechanic) also moved over from working in TIP's tanker division and has been with the company since 2012. Daryl works primarily to support one of our largest logistics customers.
Andrew Young (Mobile Mechanic) has worked for TIP since 2011. Andy also supports one of our bigger customers as well as working on various site clinics.
Lastly but by no means least Tony Gorny (Region Fleet Engineer) ‘Cornish’ is based at Knottingley. Tony has been with the company since 2006, just don’t ask for a hug...
