TIP launches ‘truck used sales’ division

TIP Group, the UK’s leading trailer and truck service provider, has launched a used truck sales division based at a new TIP site in Warrington.

A new venture for TIP, this latest addition to TIP’s portfolio of services will see it offering quality used trucks to both trade and retail customers. Vehicles for sale will be promoted via the TIP Used website, www.tip-used.com, in addition to platforms such as Truck Locator™ and Auto Trader.

With a stock profile of vehicles between 3 and 6 years old, TIP’s ‘used fleet’ includes a broad range of HGV trucks from all leading manufacturers including DAF, Volvo and Mercedes Benz, plus a number of light commercial vehicles (LCVs) from a variety of manufacturers. All vehicles are ex-TIP fleet and benefit from a full-service history. Retail customers can benefit from a comprehensive warranty package.

Finance is also available through TIP Equipment Finance (TEF) to both trade and retail customers.

TIP expects more than 400 vehicles a year to be sold from the Warrington site which, thanks to its workshop and vehicle preparation facilities, removes the need for vehicle movement between sites, and gives customers the benefit of rapid turnaround times on vehicles.

The site, approximately 15 miles from Manchester Airport, is handily located near to the M6 and M56 motorway network and has parking for up to 50 vehicles.

Russell Leach, TIP’s newly appointed Remarketing Manager for trucks, commented: “We look forward to offering a wide range of used trucks and vans to the market, from our dedicated new premises in Warrington. TIP de-fleets up to 500 vehicles a year, all of which have been rigorously maintained throughout their usage, and we are pleased to be able to offer these to UK buyers.”

The TIP Used division runs its own in-house refurbishment facility for used trucks, vans and trailers and is able to offer its retail customers fully refurbished vehicles as standard, and by arrangement for trade purchases.
