Trailer Refurbishment Centre provides sustainable alternative to trailer fleet replacement

More than eight months on from acquiring its trailer refurbishment centre, TIP is growing its refurbishment offering to provide a cost-effective and sustainable alternative to trailer replacement for transport operators.

The Stoke-based facility enables operators to extend the lifespan of trailers in their fleet with its capability to perform both cosmetic and mechanical upgrades to all types of trailer and to fleets of all sizes, effectively upgrading them to ‘as new’.

A team of over 100 technicians is based there, supported by an experienced operational team, are now refurbishing trailers for many major logistics players and providing an average trailer life extension of five years.

The 12.75-acre facility is located on the A500 and is easily accessible via both the M6 and M1 motorways, providing an ideal location for operators around the country to refurbish trailers in their fleet.

TIP offers a ‘refurb and lease’ solution for trailers currently on hire from TIP and a ‘sale, refurb & leaseback’ solution whereby TIP will purchase trailers currently owned by operators and then lease them back to them, following a refurb.
