TIP receives ESPORG's European truck parking of the year 2024 award

Amsterdam – March 7th 2024 Delta Park receives European Truck Parking of the Year 2024 award from ESPORG

Delta Park, TIP Group's Secure Truck Parking, received the European truck parking of the year 2024 award in the category large parking areas (above 50 places). The prize is awarded by ESPORG’s international jury, composed of representatives of leading road transport stakeholders and governmental and non-governmental institutions and bodies. The award was announced during a ceremony held at the European Parliament in Brussels.

The jury commended the high quality of services offered to drivers, the adaptability to their specific needs and the ambition to innovate. In the official announcement, Michael Nielsen, president of ESPORG, commented: We commit to contribute further to excellence in offering services to our drivers in Europe and beyond, whilst at the same time rewarding the abundance of excellence, which already exist in our business.

The European Truck Parking of the year 2024 award comes just a month after TIP Group’s Delta Park received Gold Certification under EU standards, and after the completion of the extension of the Secure Truck Parking. In 2023, TIP added 67 new parking spaces to the 146 existing ones, for a total of 213, and further improved its welcoming conditions with additional sanitary facilities in the lounge and on the parking lot, a kitchen, sports facilities, bikes on loan, and upgrades of other facilities.

Fred Notte, Vice President Mediterranean region at TIP Group, stated: “It is an honor for us to receive this prestigious award. When building Delta Park our target was to create a site, offering the best possible conditions for the drivers, without making any compromises on safety and security. This award, presented by industry experts, proves that we achieved our goal and that we are on the right track for future projects. We want to thank ESPORG and the members of the jury.”

TIP Group is looking for locations to grow its Secure Truck Parking network

TIP is actively seeking partnerships with location owners and stakeholders for the expansion of its innovative Secure Truck Parking network across Europe’s TEN-T corridors (including the UK). Whether it's upgrading existing non-secure parking spaces or embarking on new constructions. The aim is to facilitate the transition to sustainable logistics by offering secure truck parking, fast and overnight charging solutions for electric trucks and e-reefers, and other zero-emission solutions.

"TIP Group is developing a network of strategic truck e-hubs where Secure Truck Parking, e-charging, and other zero-emission solutions will be combined to assist logistic companies in their energy transition by offering fast and overnight charging solutions for trucks and e-reefers. We, as TIP Group, feel responsible and want to play an important role here”, stated by Theo de Vries, Vice-President of M&R Services and Insight at TIP Group.
