TIP Group acquires the workshop business of Gisinger Fahrzeugbau GmbH & Co KG in Austria
Amsterdam, 2 October 2024 – TIP Group, one of Europe’s leading truck and trailer equipment services providers, announces the acquisition of a new workshop location in Hohenems, Austria, following a successful deal with their partner Gisinger Fahrzeugbau GmbH & Co KG.
The workshop is strategically located in Hohenems, in the west of Austria, close to Germany and Switzerland, providing access to key markets. This acquisition marks a significant step in TIP’s Austrian workshop network expansion, with a total of three locations in Austria.
Since its foundation in 1929, the workshop location has grown to over 11,000 m2. The workshop is fully operational and in perfect technical condition, ensuring an easy integration into TIP’s operations. It currently accommodates seven repair lanes/bays, four with pits, and 17 employees, including nine mechanics and two apprentices.
The workshop has an established reputation in the market and will enhance our own brand presence in Austria, positioning TIP as a trusted service partner for Schmitz, Krone, SAF-Holland, Wabco, Haldex, Knorr and Wielton.
In addition to expanding our workshop capacities in Austria, the acquisition will provide TIP with significant advantages in the lease and rental business, and benefit from the logistically advantageous location. The latest acquisition will strengthen the core business in Austria and allow TIP to offer their full range of services
