Delta Park Truck Secure Parking achieves Gold Certification under EU standards
AMSTERDAM, 6 February 2024 – Delta Park, TIP Group's Premier Secure Truck Parking, achieves Gold Certification under EU standards
TIP Group proudly announces that its state-of-the-art Secure Truck Parking, Delta Park, located in Dourges, North France, has been awarded the prestigious Gold certification under the EU-Parking Standard.
This recognition along with the PSR1 certification from TAPA renewed in 2022, solidifies Delta Park's standing as a preeminent provider of safety and security for logistics operators in one of the busiest road junctions in Europe and TIP Group's commitment to provide top-notch security for heavy goods vehicles.
“We ensure the safety of your goods while giving your driver the opportunity to rest.”
Delta Park, inaugurated by TIP Group in 2019 is strategically located just 1km from the A1/E17, one of the busiest road junctions in Europe, Delta Park offers secure parking spaces for logistics operators navigating the high-traffic region. With over 25,000 heavy goods vehicles passing through the area daily, Delta Park has emerged as a crucial hub for those seeking a secure and comfortable parking solution.
In 2023, TIP added 67 new parking spaces to the 146 existing ones, for a total of 213, and further improved its welcoming conditions with additional sanitary facilities in the lounge and on the parking lot, a kitchen, sports facilities, bikes on loan, and upgrades of other facilities. A supermarket will soon be available.
Operators choosing Delta Park can take advantage of a range of services and amenities, ensuring a secure and convenient experience. The facility goes beyond conventional parking solutions, offering a comprehensive package for logistics professionals seeking peace of mind in their operations.
The recent Gold certification from the EU is a testament to Delta Park's unwavering dedication to meeting and exceeding the stringent standards set for Secure Truck Parking areas. “We are thrilled to receive the Gold Certification as we worked hard to design and build the best possible truck stop for the drivers, making sure they could rest in a safe, secure and welcoming environment for them and for their cargo” says Fred Notte, VP of TIP Med Region. “When the decision was made to extend the parking, the feedback we got from the drivers was a precious input to define which additional services were required. This certification along with the reviews we get from the drivers, proves that we’ve reached our goal. We are now looking forward to work on other Secure Truck Parking projects.”
TIP is looking for additional locations to grow its Secure Truck Parking network
Theo de Vries, Vice-President of M&R Services and Insight at TIP Group, expressed particular satisfaction with this additional certification. He stated, "TIP Group is developing a network of strategic Truck E-Hubs where Secure Truck Parkings, E-Charging, and other zero-emission solutions will be combined to assist logistic companies in their energy transition by offering fast and overnight charging solutions for trucks and e-reefers. We, as TIP Group, feel responsible and want to play an important role here."
In light of this expansion initiative, TIP Group is actively seeking additional locations along the main TEN-T corridors in Europe. We welcome engagement with site owners and other stakeholders involved in the operation and/or ownership of non-secure and secure truck parking locations.
